Damien Hirst (Bristol, 1956) is a controversial British artist.
He is one of the most important members of the Young British Artists.
His breakthrough started in 1988, when he took part in the “Freeze” exposition, in an empty harbor compound in London.
The group became known thanks to the purchases of art collector, Charles Saatchi.
Hirst is most known for his controversial installations, in which he transforms, exposed animals in formaldehyde into real pieces of art.
Next to his installations he made a series of “spot prints” that he scientifically named separately, without giving any explanation.
Till this day on, Hirst is one of the most successful living artists…
