Brecht Evens is a Belgian comic book artist and illustrator, born on October 23, 1986, in Hasselt, Belgium. He is known for his unique and colorful artistic style, often characterized by vibrant colors, bold brushstrokes, and a sense of movement and liveliness.
Evens studied illustration at the Sint-Lukas School of Arts in Brussels. His breakthrough came with his debut graphic novel “Ergens waar je niet wil zijn” (“The Wrong Place”), which was published in 2009 and received critical acclaim for its inventive storyline and expressive art style. Since then, Evens has produced several other graphic novels, including “Panther” and “The Amusement.”
Evens is known for his ability to explore complex emotions and human interactions through his illustrations. His work often combines realistic elements with surreal and abstract aspects, creating a unique and intriguing visual experience.
